HC-SR04 Ultrasonic Distance Sensor Module

Ultrasonic ranging module HC-SR04 provides 2cm - 400cm non-contact measurement function, the ranging accuracy can reach to 3mm. The modules includes ultrasonic transmitters, receiver and control circuit. The basic principle of working is as follows:

1. We Send a high level trigger signal for at least 10us on the trig pin.
2. The Module automatically sends eight sonic burst of 40 kHz and detects whether there is a reflected pulse signal.
3. IF the signal is received back, the module pulls the echo pin high. The HIGH time for the echo pin is proportional to the object distance.

Distance = (high level time × velocity of sound (340M/S)) / 2
