The HX1230 LCD is a graphic LCD screen originally intended for a cell phone screen. It is intended to replace the famous Nokia 5110 LCD Display, and uses the HX1230 controller. The HX1230 is a low-power CMOS LCD controller/driver, designed to drive a graphic display of 68 rows and 96 columns. The HX1230 requires only four I/O pins for interfacing and support a single LED backlight, resulting in low power consumption.
The HX1230 interfaces to microcontrollers through a serial bus interface. You can use SPI or I2C or any other serial interface with this display.
